- CARE GUIDE
-
All of our indoor plants are thoughtfully selected for their easy-to-care-for nature.
You’ll find specific care instructions below, but don’t worry - whether you’re treating yourself or sending a gift, we’ll include simple care instructions with your order to help your plant thrive.
CARE LEVEL
A little bit diva, a whole lot of drama – but totally worth it for that stunning foliage! Best for plant lovers ready to give it some attention.LIGHT
Loves bright, indirect light. Too much direct sun can scorch those dotted leaves, while low light may fade their colour and slow growth.WATER
Water when the top few centimetres of soil are dry. Keep the soil lightly moist but never soggy. Avoid getting water on the leaves to prevent spotting or mildew. Cut back watering in winter.HUMIDITY
Thrives in high humidity. Loves a pebble tray or humidifier – dry air can cause crispy edges.FEEDING
Feed every 2–4 weeks in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser. No feeding needed during dormancy in cooler months.LEAF CARE
Avoid wetting the leaves. Gently remove any dust or spent leaves to keep your begonia looking its best.PET FRIENDLY?
Not pet safe. Keep out of reach – can be toxic if ingested.EXTRA TIPS
Leggy? Pinch back stems to encourage bushier growth | Brown edges? Likely low humidity or inconsistent watering | Give it a little boost of humidity and bright, filtered light and it will thrive. - WHEN AND HOW TO RE-POT
- Your Hello Botanical plant gift can happily remain in the plastic gardener’s pot and our hessian pot cover for 3-6 months or more. Indoor plants do best if they are left in the plastic gardener's pot for at least a few months. When it is time to re-pot, it's best to re-pot up (into a slightly larger pot) to promote continued growth. You may like to add-on a Mr Kitly selfwatering pot to your plant gift (size 170mm for our small plants, size 250mm for our large plants). We provide individualised advice on how and when to re-pot, per plant, per recipient. We include an information leaflet with your gift, and are available by email or DM anytime for further advice.
