DIEFFENBACHIA TROPIC MARIANNE PLANT
CARE LEVEL
Easy, low maintenance – great for plant parents with a little experience!LIGHT
Prefers bright, indirect light to keep its striking variegation vibrant. Can adapt to moderate light, but avoid direct sun which can scorch the leaves.WATER
Allow the top 2–3 cm of soil to dry before watering again. Water deeply, letting excess drain away. In winter, reduce watering. Avoid waterlogging as soggy soil can lead to root rot.HUMIDITY
Enjoys average household humidity but thrives with a little extra. Mist occasionally or place near a humidifier during dry months for best results.FEEDING
Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser. Pause feeding in autumn and winter when growth slows.LEAF CARE
Wipe the broad, patterned leaves with a damp cloth to remove dust and bring out their bold cream-and-green markings.PET FRIENDLY?
Not pet safe. Contains calcium oxalate crystals that can irritate mouths and stomachs if ingested – best kept away from pets and children.EXTRA TIPS
• Yellowing leaves? Check for overwatering or poor drainage.
• Leggy growth? Give it more light to maintain its bushy shape.
• Remove older, damaged leaves at the base to encourage fresh growth.
• Keep away from cold drafts for best results. - WHEN AND HOW TO RE-POT
- Your Hello Botanical plant gift can happily remain in the plastic gardener’s pot and our hessian pot cover for 3-6 months or more. Indoor plants do best if they are left in the plastic gardener's pot for at least a few months. When it is time to re-pot, it's best to re-pot up (into a slightly larger pot) to promote continued growth. You may like to add-on a Mr Kitly selfwatering pot to your plant gift (size 170mm for our small plants, size 250mm for our large plants). We provide individualised advice on how and when to re-pot, per plant, per recipient. We include an information leaflet with your gift, and are available by email or DM anytime for further advice.
