- CARE GUIDE
-
All of our indoor plants are thoughtfully selected for their easy-to-care-for nature.
You’ll find specific care instructions below, but don’t worry - whether you’re treating yourself or sending a gift, we’ll include simple care instructions with your order to help your plant thrive.
CARE LEVEL
Moderate – ideal for plant lovers ready for a slightly more attentive routine!LIGHT
Loves bright, indirect light to stay lush and green. Keep out of direct sunlight, which can scorch its delicate fronds. Tolerates low light, but growth may slow.WATER
Keep the soil consistently moist, but never soggy. Water when the top of the soil just begins to dry. Avoid letting the soil dry out completely - this plant is sensitive to drought. Reduce watering slightly in winter.HUMIDITY
High humidity is a must. Mist daily, group with other plants, or use a humidifier. Dry air can cause leaves to crisp or drop.FEEDING
Feed monthly during spring and summer with a diluted balanced liquid fertiliser. No feeding needed in autumn and winter.LEAF CARE
Gently remove dead or yellowing fronds at the base to encourage new growth. Avoid touching fronds excessively - they’re delicate and bruise easily.PET FRIENDLY?
Pet safe! Non-toxic to cats and dogs.EXTRA TIPS
• Crispy fronds? Likely due to low humidity or missed watering.
• Browning tips? Check for dry air or build-up of minerals in water - try distilled or rainwater.
• Don’t repot too often - this fern prefers slightly snug roots.
• Place away from heaters, drafts, or air conditioning vents. - WHEN AND HOW TO RE-POT
- Your Hello Botanical plant gift can happily remain in the plastic gardener’s pot and our hessian pot cover for 3-6 months or more. Indoor plants do best if they are left in the plastic gardener's pot for at least a few months. When it is time to re-pot, it's best to re-pot up (into a slightly larger pot) to promote continued growth. You may like to add-on a Mr Kitly selfwatering pot to your plant gift (size 170mm for our small plants, size 250mm for our large plants). We provide individualised advice on how and when to re-pot, per plant, per recipient. We include an information leaflet with your gift, and are available by email or DM anytime for further advice.
