- CARE GUIDE
-
All of our indoor plants are thoughtfully selected for their easy-to-care-for nature.
You’ll find specific care instructions below, but don’t worry - whether you’re treating yourself or sending a gift, we’ll include simple care instructions with your order to help your plant thrive.
CARE LEVEL
Easy going and fast-growing – perfect for beginners or anyone after a lush, trailing plant with personality!LIGHT
Loves bright, indirect light. Can tolerate lower light but may grow more slowly and develop fewer holes in the leaves. Avoid harsh direct sunlight – it can burn the delicate foliage.WATER
Water when the top few centimetres of soil feel dry. Likes lightly moist soil but not soggy. Reduce watering in winter and make sure the pot drains freely.HUMIDITY
Enjoys moderate to high humidity. Loves a mist or a nearby humidifier – especially during dry seasons.FEEDING
Feed monthly in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser. Hold off during the cooler months.LEAF CARE
Wipe leaves gently with a damp cloth to remove dust and show off those iconic holes.PET FRIENDLY?
Not pet safe. Can cause irritation if chewed – best kept away from pets and small children.EXTRA TIPS
Trailing or climbing? Give it a moss pole or let it hang free | Yellowing leaves? Usually a sign of overwatering | Rotate occasionally to encourage even growth and shape. - WHEN AND HOW TO RE-POT
- Your Hello Botanical plant gift can happily remain in the plastic gardener’s pot and our hessian pot cover for 3-6 months or more. Indoor plants do best if they are left in the plastic gardener's pot for at least a few months. When it is time to re-pot, it's best to re-pot up (into a slightly larger pot) to promote continued growth. You may like to add-on a Mr Kitly selfwatering pot to your plant gift (size 170mm for our small plants, size 250mm for our large plants). We provide individualised advice on how and when to re-pot, per plant, per recipient. We include an information leaflet with your gift, and are available by email or DM anytime for further advice.
- IMPORTANT DELIVERY INFO
- The plant gift delivery fee ranges between $15 and $40. For indoor plant deliveries, we exclusively use premium door to door courier services and only deliver locally (Melbourne and Geelong), to ensure their healthy and fast arrival.
I ordered a monstera adonsonii for my friend and they were stoked with the quality of it, and they said it was a beautiful surprise. It was a lot more substantial than the picture with larger leaves as well.
